2. Light Blue Beret
The very prestigious light blue beret is worn by our brave defence personnel at the United Nations Peace Forces. The United Nations Peace Forces consists of defence personnel from all three services the Indian Army, the Indian Airforce and the Indian Navy irrespective of their regiments, arms or service.
3. Dark Green Beret
The dark green beret is worn by many of the regiments of the Indian army such as the Infantry Regiments including Light Infantry and Mechanised Infantry, Rifle Regiment.
The dark green beret is also used by COBRA Commandos and the young NCC Cadets.
4. Black Beret
The black beret is used by the deadliest commandos of the National Security Guards also known as NSG. NSG is the one responsible for the internal security of India and they also protect the VVIPs of India.
With NSG the back beret is also used by the armoured corps and the personnel of the Indian Navy.
5. Grey Beret
The grey beret is used by the personnel of the Indian Air Force and by the personnel of the Army Aviation Corps.
6. Scarlet (Red) Beret
The scarlet red beret gives a vibe of resemblance to the maroon beret but it is different and worn by the Corps of Military Police (CMP). CMP is the police force of the Indian Army.
7. Navy Blue Beret
The Navy blue beret is worn by the personnel of the Corps of Engineers, The Regiment of Artillery, the Indian Coast Guard, the Corps of Signals, Support Arms and Services, and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force.
8. Sand Beret
The sand beret is worn by the most fearless and deadly Marine commandos of the Indian Navy also known as the MARCOS. They are highly trained commandos to operate in all conditions and fields like Air, land and water, but they are specially trained to carry out operations in the water.
9. Maroon Beret
This is the last type of beret among the different types of Berets used by the Indian Defence Forces and it is worn by the fearless commandos of the Indian Para special forces also known as the glass eaters.
